Boil the chicory, drain and keep the cooking water, where you soak the bread.
When the bread is moist remove.
Then, in the same water, Cook an egg at a time, just long enough to clear the harden.
Prepared then in the pot: bread slices, chicory, eggs, a little salt and pepper, oil.
