Instructions

The Pepparkakor is a classic Christmas (Sweden).

Once you find the Spice in herbal medicine, it is easy.

Combine butter, sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and orange peel in a saucepan and stir over gentle heat until the butter has melted, then let cool.

Then add baking soda dissolved in water, egg and flour.

Knead well and let stand overnight in a cool place.

Finally, from the dough stretched very thin, cut desired shapes (hearts, flowers, puppets) and cook in the oven at 175 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
