Slowly pour about 1/2 chocolate cup of boiling water and stir until dissolved.
Allow to cool and add the flour, sugar and baking powder, mix and combine butter, rum, eggs beaten with the vanilla, milk and coffee.
Pour the mixture into a buttered baking dish and bake at 180 degrees for 1 hour.
