Separate the egg whites from the yolks and beat well the latter with sugar.
When the mixture will be frothy combine the zest of 2 lemons and juice.
Mix gently by adding the flour and baking powder and add the whipped egg whites.
Butter, flour a cake mold and pour in the mixture and bake at 180 degrees for 50 minutes.
Cool the cake, cover with whipped cream, adding the grated lemon rind.
