Cardi baked with beef meatballs
Instructions
A winter dish (the Thistles are found only in winter).
Clean well the cardi, cut them into small pieces by 5 cm, put them as in a bowl with some water where you have added the juice of 1/2 lemon, so don't make them black, then boil them in salted water for about an hour. Meanwhile prepare the Meatballs in a bowl the minced meat with 50 g of grated cheese, salt, pepper, egg. Work the dough: formed balls as big as the hazelnuts and FRY in hot oil, drain on paper towels.
Once the Thistles are cooked, transfer to a baking sheet and add the remaining grated cheese, mozzarella, salt and pepper. Mix meatballs and leveled. Sprinkle with the Parmesan, cover with aluminum foil and bake in oven for about 30 minutes to chill. Once after 30 minutes, remove the aluminum foil and keep them 10 minutes in the oven still off.
