Christmas shortbread biscuits with sugar paste
Instructions
Knead in mixer the butter with the sugar and then add the egg. Stir the mixture with the pinch of salt and the lemon zest. Add the flour a little at a time and knead for a few minutes until the dough is soft and smooth. Form a ball with the dough and cover it with the film. Leave it to stand for half an hour. If you have particularly fast you can use right away.
Roll out the pastry with a rolling pin and cut with stencils (for example in the shape of a star, a symbol that evokes so much Christmas). Put in oven on baking sheet covered with parchment paper, at 180° c for 15-20 minutes (the time depends on how thin she was spread out the dough). Once the cookies cool, decorate as desired, e.g. sugar dough, as shown in the figure.
