Cherries in barolo
Instructions
Put the cherries in a copper saucepan, add sugar, cinnamon, orange zest, cut thin and currant jelly and cover of barolo.
Bring to a boil and lower the heat and continue cooking at moderate flame.
Serve hot or cold cherries.
Ingredients and dosing for 4 persons
- 400 g of ripe cherries and pitted
- 150 g of sugar
- 10 cl of currant jelly
- Barolo wine
- 1/2 stick of cinnamon
- 1 orange (zest)
