Figs in cognac
Instructions
Wash the figs and punzecchiateli.
Put them in a pot in a single layer and cover with sugar.
Bring to the boil over very low heat turning occasionally figs until the sugar is dissolved.
Then raise the heat and cook for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let stand for 24 hours at indoor pot.
Place figs in pots 2 1 l, cinnamon and cloves, and then the cognac to cover them.
To have a less strong taste you can mix equal parts cognac and syrup.
