Marinated masculine
Instructions
The masculine belong to the family of anchovies and are the most common whitefish in Catania and on the coast.
You cook in various ways and are eaten raw in this recipe.
Clean masculine well, wash them under running water and remove the bone and head.
Put them in a zuppierina covered with lemon juice and add a pinch of salt.
Let it sit for a few hours, then change the juice with other fresh lemon and seasoned with a pinch of salt.
Put the masculine in the refrigerator and 24 hours later take them from the marinade and serve as an appetizer, with a drizzle of olive oil, pepper, chopped garlic, chopped parsley and a few slices of lemon.
If you don't want to eat just the minnows will stand in marinade, refrigerated, for four or five days.
