Mix all the dry ingredients.
Arrange a fountain and pour in the beaten egg.
Mix well.
Pour gradually and stirring enough milk to form a thickish cream.
Pour the mixture in spoonfuls on a buttered hot plate or in a pan.
Bake until they are golden on one side, and then turn.
Serve hot.
