Cake with nuts
Instructions
Put soaked the raisins in a bowl with warm water for a quarter of an hour.
Cut into pieces the dried apricots, walnuts nuts and dates, deprived of kernels, and place in a bowl along with the drained raisins and squeezed.
Add the candied orange peel, diced, and cherries, well drained the syrup saves and pitted.
In a bowl beat the eggs with the sugar, using a whisk, until mixture is puffy and homogeneous.
Add a tablespoon of rum and nuts and stir to mix well all the ingredients.
Unite also flour, a little at a time, yeast and a pinch of salt, stirring vigorously for a few minutes.
Grease with butter a mold for Donuts, pour in the mixture, livellatene the surface and let it cook in the oven already warm (220 degrees) for 40 minutes.
In a bowl mix the icing sugar with the rest of the rum, a tablespoon of water and lemon juice.
Knead the mixture until it is smooth and, by lifting it with a spoon, lies forming a rather dense.
Remove the cake from the oven, remove from pan and onto a serving dish and let it cool.
Cover the cake with the glaze prepared and let solidify in the air for half an hour, before serving.

- 200 g of walnut kernels
- 4 eggs
- 100 g of dried apricots
- 100 g of dates
- 100 g of sultanas
- 100 g of candied orange peel
- 100 g of cherries in syrup
- 250 g of flour
- 1 walnut butter
- 140 g of granulated sugar
- 200 g of icing sugar
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of rum
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
