Fisherman's toast
Instructions
Wash the mussels and clams under running water, spazzolandole thoroughly to remove any impurities, and then put them on the fire, in a pan without adding anything, and lasciatevele for a few minutes, until the heat will open the valve spontaneously.
Extract now the shellfish and keep aside, while preparing the sauce.
For this, Saute chopped very fine of Basil and garlic in a pan with 3 tablespoons of olive oil.
Add the mussels to the dressing and let stand for a few moments; then sprinkle the pretzels, pepateli and cook in covered container for 5-6 minutes.
Meanwhile, fry the slices of bread in the remaining oil; as they are ready, put them on a sheet of absorbent paper towel to remove the excess grease and keep them warm on a serving dish.
Sprinkle the mussels with lemon juice, let thicken the sauce for a few minutes, then spread it on toast and bring right to the table.
