Wash and dry the vegetables.
Peel the tomatoes, remove the seeds and cut into cubes.
In a saucepan put the oil with chopped onions and sauté.
Add the carrots and celery chopped, shuffled.
Add the tomatoes and simmer for a quarter of an hour.
Almost at the end add salt and pepper.
Withdrawn from the fire, add the chopped Basil.
Spaghetti or pasta.
