Instructions

06959 SEITAN IN PASTRY with VEGETABLES INGREDIENTS for 4 PEOPLE 1 kg of potatoes, 3 spoons of extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper, onion, green pepper, 2 carrots, 2 cans of soy beans, 120 g of mushrooms, 200 g seitan, 6 dl of water, 2 Bay leaves, 2 tablespoons chopped hazelnuts.

Cook the potatoes, then let them cool and Peel.

In a bowl, knead with the prongs of a fork, add the oil, salt and pepper, until you have a puree.

In a Pan fry the chopped onion, pepper and finely chopped carrots and soy beans.

Add the Bay leaves, water, seitan cut into slices, mix well and simmer for about 15 minutes.

When cooked remove the bay leaf and pour the contents of the Pan in a baking dish from the oven, cover with a layer of mashed potatoes, leveling the surface with a spoon, sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts.

Place in the oven already warm (200°) and let it Brown.

Served piping hot.
