Pea curry spices

2_05223 PEA CURRY to SPICES INGREDIENTS for 4 PEOPLE 300 g of peas, a few tablespoons of olive oil, 2 teaspoons of mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger, chopped white onion, 1 teaspoon cumin powder, 1 teaspoon of turmeric, chili, 2 tomatoes, a sprig of fresh mint, salt, pepper.
Pour 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan with high edges and let heat without smoking it.
Add the mustard seeds, and when they are well toasted, add ginger, chopped onion and a pinch of salt.
Simmer a few minutes to fire.
Then add cumin, turmeric, chili without seeds and clean cut into rings.
Stir with a wooden spoon for about a minute, then add the tomatoes cut into wedges clean.
Pour 15 cl of water and bring to a boil.
Add peas and 2 tablespoons chopped mint leaves.
Add salt and pepper, cover and continue cooking 15 minutes on moderate heat, stirring occasionally.
When cooked, remove from heat, pour peas into a serving dish and garnish with mint leaves.
You can serve the dish with steamed white fish or white meat.
