Rice with artichokes and tomatoes

02533 RICE with ARTICHOKES and tomatoes INGREDIENTS for 4 PERSONS 200 g of rice, 4 3 onions, artichokes, 5 tablespoons of tomato sauce, a tablespoon of diced ham, a nut for vegetable broth, 1/2 cup of dry white wine, 4 tablespoons olive oil, salt and pepper.
Clean the artichokes, cut them into slices and FRY in a pan with 2 tablespoons of olive oil for 3-4 minutes, until sautee.
Drain them, remove them from the Pan and keep aside.
Peel the onions, wash, chop and FRY these in a saucepan with the remaining oil, for 4 minutes.
Add the artichokes and rice and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring.
Pour the wine, let it evaporate, then add the tomato sauce and the nut loose in ó litre of warm water.
Bake for 16-18 minutes, until the broth is absorbed, if needed add some water.
Add salt and pepper and serve immediately.
