Instructions
Pour into a saucepan Barolo and put all other ingredients: bring to a boil and simmer for six or seven minutes.
Strain the liquor to the tablecloth and serve piping hot in a large Cup.
This recipe has nearly 150 years and is good even if you do not have at hand the Mace, coriander and cardamom.

Ingredients and dosing for 4 persons
- 50 cl of barolo wine
- 50 g of sugar
- 3 g of cinnamon whole
- 3 g of clove
- 3 g of mace
- 3 g of cilantro
- 3 grains black pepper
- 1/2 lemon (zest)
- 1 leaf of laurel
- 1 pinch of cardamom
- 1 piece of vanilla stick (or a pinch of vanillin)
- 1 leaf sage
- 1 sprig of rosemary
