Christmas sweets
Instructions
Work the butter and gradually add cream, stirring constantly, sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, salt, cinnamon, orange juice and orange zest.
Mix the flour with the baking powder and add to the mixture, making it come down from sieved.
Add the dried fruit, candied fruit cut into small pieces and chocolate.
Worked with a wooden spoon (or with an electric mixer), until mixture is smooth.
Put the dough in a baking mold (26 x 40 cm) floured and buttered and level with the back of a wet spoon several times in cold water.
Bake in the lower part of the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 40 minutes.
When cooked, remove the cake from the mould edge with the aid of a knife and cut it into diamonds and triangles.
Ingredients and dosing for 4 persons
- 240 g of flour
- 150 g of butter
- 200 g of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 100 g of chopped walnuts (or almonds)
- 50 g of dried figs
- 100 g of dates
- 50 g of candied orange peel
- 50 g of candied citron peel
- 25 g of cherries
- 100 g of grated dark chocolate
- 1 orange
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 1 sachet of vanilla cake yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 pinch of salt
