Chicken with chestnuts
Instructions
In a pot with water, simmer the chestnuts over a low heat, for about a couple of hours.
Place the chicken in a saucepan with oil and two cups of water; bring to a boil, add the leeks, sherry, ginger, cover and simmer for 1 hour, until chicken is tender.
Add the chestnuts with their water and let it over heat, with lid, for a further two minutes.
Serve the dish hot.
Ingredients and dosing for 4 persons
- 500 g of dried chestnuts
- 1 1500 g chicken
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 leeks sliced
- 3 tablespoons of sherry
- 6 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 3 pieces of ginger
