Grandma's minestrone
Instructions
GRANDMA'S MINESTRONE 04453 INGREDIENTS for 4-5 PEOPLE 150 g lentils, 1 ladle of boiled beans, 50 g of diced pancetta, 300 g of ripe tomatoes to perette, 80 g rice, 1 carrot, 1 small onion, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 4 Sage leaves, 1 bay leaf, 700 g of vegetable broth, salt and pepper.
PROCEDURE Put to soak lentils in cold water for at least 8 hours before.
Golden brown the chopped onion in the oil, then add the bacon, carrot, cut into cubes and Sage leaves and sauté for 5 minutes.
Add the tomatoes and beans and pour the hot broth already gradually, stirring constantly.
After 10 minutes.
Add the lentils and cook for 35 minutes.
Then add the rice, salt and continue cooking for another 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Bake in a soup-tureen and serve.
